Leeds today: tributes, young people, health, and running.

Morning all, ebsnare here!

A close look

Young people from Leeds are being encouraged to take part in a unique event led by the motivational speaker and black history specialist Andrew Mohammed. The Young Ambassadors workshop on 26 November 2011 will give young people the skills and motivation to get their voices heard and increase their career and social opportunities. The event is aimed at young people aged between 15-18 years who are ‘non white British’ and who’ve experienced mental health issues or disability.

The workshop at the WYP is being run by the Royal Association for Disability Rights and Leeds wellbeing charity, Touchstone. A second workshop will run on 21 January 2012. To take part in the workshop contact Mark Shrimpton at Mark.Shrimpton@radar.org.uk, or Kimberley Saggu at Touchstone on 0113 2484880. More details, including application forms are on the website.
